Nevada Democrats Pledge Action on Gun Violence Anniversary

As the nation marks another year since the tragic events at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, the memory of that day remains etched in the hearts of many. This anniversary serves as a solemn reminder of the lives lost and the enduring impact on survivors and their families.

Nine Years Since Tragedy Struck

Nine years ago, the Las Vegas community faced an unimaginable loss when the deadliest mass shooting in American history occurred. In a statement reflecting on this somber occasion, Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Daniele Monroe-Moreno expressed, “Nine years after the worst tragedy struck our Vegas community, we remember the lives taken and the families, loved ones, and survivors forever changed by the deadliest mass shooting in American history. We honor those we lost and stand with all those who continue to carry the impact of that terrible day.”

Continuing the Fight Against Gun Violence

The anniversary not only commemorates those who were lost but also highlights ongoing efforts to combat gun violence. Monroe-Moreno emphasized the urgency of pursuing preventive measures, stating, “Gun violence has touched far too many families and communities across our state and our country. We will continue in our pursuit of common-sense gun violence prevention measures that will help make Nevada communities safer. In memory of those we lost, Nevada Democrats remain committed to doing everything we can to prevent another tragedy like this from ever happening again.”
