In an effort to enhance service accessibility, Flint is collaborating with Consumers Energy to offer residents a new location for in-person energy bill payments. This initiative will also benefit residents from nearby municipalities who can use the Clio Road location for their payment needs.
The Flint City Services Center, located at 4813 Clio Road, is set to begin accepting payments for Consumers Energy bills. This comes in anticipation of the closure of the existing payment office at 3201 E. Court Street.
Consumers Energy has announced that the East Court Street office will close permanently after its final day on November 30, 2026.
The new payment option at Clio Road will provide a convenient alternative for those who prefer or require in-person transactions. The service center will facilitate these payments through its drive-thru windows.
Starting the second week of October, the center will accept payments, although only cash transactions will be processed initially.

Saturday: 10A – 2P
Flint Mayor Sheldon A. Neeley expressed the simplicity of their mission: “Our goal is simple: make it easier for Flint residents to access the services they need.” He emphasized the importance of maintaining service accessibility, stating that the new location aims to keep essential services within reach for those who depend on them.
The Clio Road Service Center, initially established to improve access to city services for Flint’s north side residents, already offers a range of services such as water bill payments and public health resources.
Mayor Neeley added, “This is what putting residents first looks like — meeting people where they are and making government and essential services more accessible.” He acknowledged Consumers Energy for their cooperation in ensuring local payment options remain available.
Consumers Energy continues to provide various payment methods, including online payments, phone payments, and in-person transactions at authorized locations.
