Detroit Health Department Joins National Public Health Week Celebration
The Detroit Health Department is gearing up to actively participate in the nationwide observance of Public Health Week, scheduled from April 8 to April 12. The theme for this year, “It Starts Here,” emphasizes the significance of accessible healthcare, wellness resources, and community empowerment.
Throughout the week-long celebration, residents of Detroit can engage in a variety of free health services and activities aimed at enhancing their health and well-being. These events will be hosted at numerous locations including Detroit Police Department Precincts, Detroit Recreation Centers, and other community partner venues across the city. Importantly, no appointments, ID, or health insurance are necessary for participation in any of the services offered.
In collaboration with local organizations and community leaders, the Detroit Health Department is dedicated to advancing public health and increasing awareness of critical health issues impacting Detroit residents.
