Explore Innovative Solutions at the 27th Annual Disability Conference

The dynamic intersection of societal shifts and technological breakthroughs is transforming the landscape of disability. A pivotal event, the 27th Annual Evidence for Success Disability Conference, aims to address these changes by bringing together experts and community members to explore innovative solutions. Hosted by the Institute for Human Development (IHD) at Northern Arizona University, this significant gathering will take place on June 23-24 at Wild Horse Pass Resort in Chandler.

Recognized as a key event in Arizona’s disability community, the conference draws a diverse group of participants, including professionals, educators, and advocates from across the nation. This year, attendees can look forward to over 60 educational sessions and an exhibit hall featuring more than 40 exhibitors, showcasing the latest in assistive technology and services from government agencies and disability organizations.

Topics at the conference will span practical tools and forward-thinking insights in areas such as assistive technology, innovative practices in disability disciplines, and vocational rehabilitation for Indigenous populations. Participants will also engage with cutting-edge subjects like generative AI and disability advocacy through interactive sessions, roundtables, and poster presentations.

“Our goal is to provide timely, relevant content while remaining as affordable as possible so more members of the disability community can participate,” stated IHD events manager Adi Schaeffer.

Attendees have the opportunity to customize their experience by selecting sessions that align with their interests, connecting with over 300 other participants. Pre-conference workshops are available on June 22, and attendees can earn up to 16 continuing education credit hours.

Flexible attendance options are offered, including full conference access, bundled workshop packages, and single-day attendance, with discounted rates for students, Arizona school employees, and family members of individuals with disabilities. Discounted hotel accommodations are available until June 1.

The wider community is welcome to explore the exhibit hall and attend a free networking reception on June 23 from 1:30 to 7 p.m.

The Evidence for Success Disability Conference continues to serve as a collaborative platform for learning, connection, and innovation within the disability sector. For registration details and more information, visit the official conference website.
