Aminah Fawad Honored with Villanova’s 2026 Young Alumni Medal

VILLANOVA, Pa. (July 2, 2026) – Aminah Fawad, a distinguished graduate from Villanova University’s School of Business, has been awarded the 2026 Young Alumni Medal by the Villanova University Alumni Association (VUAA). This accolade recognizes alumni who have notably excelled in their professional, academic, and service endeavors benefitting the University.

Leading the Young Alumni Advisory Council (YAAC) from its inception in 2021 to 2025, Aminah was pivotal in bridging recent graduates with the University. Her visionary leadership shaped the council’s mission and amplified its influence. Through her innovative ideas and advocacy, she significantly boosted young alumni engagement.

Fawad’s commitment to fostering community connections is evident in her roles beyond the YAAC. As a mentor and Advisory Board member at the Villanova School of Business (VSB), she aids in steering strategic initiatives for the VSB Mentor Program. Her efforts in recruiting participants and organizing events have enhanced professional growth among students and alumni alike.

Sheila Doherty, Associate Vice President for Alumni Relations, emphasized Aminah’s impact, stating, “Aminah is exceptionally deserving of the Young Alumni Medal. Her dedication to the University and our alumni community makes her a fitting recipient of this honor.”

Fawad’s academic journey at Villanova began with her earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Accounting, and Management Information Systems in 2015. During her studies, she was engaged in various student organizations, including the Women in Business Society, where she served as president. Professionally, Aminah has excelled as an associate director in Global Oncology Marketing at Merck, contributing to global health initiatives.

Upon receiving the award, Aminah expressed gratitude, saying, “I’m honored and deeply humbled to receive this award from a place that means so much to me. Being able to stay connected and give back to Villanova has been a highlight over the last few years.”

Residing in Newtown Square, Pa., with her family, Aminah continues to embody the values of the Young Alumni Medal through her professional achievements and dedication to the Villanova community. The VUAA plans to celebrate her contributions at the upcoming Homecoming Weekend 2026.
