Sandy Creek Roadwork to Affect U.S. 74/76 Traffic This Month
SANDY CREEK – An upcoming infrastructure project will temporarily impact traffic flow on U.S. 74/76 eastbound, as one of its lanes is set to close for utility construction.
The lane closure is planned to occur east of N.C. 87 (Maco Road) near Sandy Creek. According to the state highway contractor, the lane will be unavailable from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on July 23 and 24 to facilitate necessary utility work on the highway’s side.
Motorists are advised to reduce speed and exercise caution when driving through this designated work zone during the specified dates to ensure safety for all road users.
