MADISON, Wis. – Residents in southeastern Wisconsin who were affected by recent flooding have until November 12, 2025, to seek help from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). It’s crucial for those impacted to apply for assistance before the deadline approaches.
“Federal assistance can be a critical lifeline for people and families to get the help they need during the recovery process,” said Wisconsin Emergency Management Administrator Greg Engle. He emphasized the importance of applying early to avoid last-minute complications.
Already, close to $83.3 million in aid has been distributed to 15,093 individuals affected by the floods. Eligible applicants from Milwaukee, Washington, or Waukesha counties can apply through several methods. The quickest route is via DisasterAssistance.gov. Alternatively, applicants can call 1-800-621-3362 or visit a Disaster Recovery Center, which can be located at fema.gov/drc.
