Elijah Jennings excels in bull riding, climbs to No. 2 in standings

Bull Riding Prodigy Triumphs at Hampton Coliseum

At just 18 years old, Elijah Jennings from Marietta, South Carolina, showcased exceptional talent in bull riding, securing a victory at the PBR Hampton event held at the Hampton Coliseum. Jennings was the only competitor to successfully ride two bulls over the weekend, which propelled him to the No. 2 spot on the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour standings.

Jennings’ impressive performance in Hampton came on the heels of another victory in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in late January. There, he also rode two bulls, which initially placed him at No. 7 in the tour standings. In Hampton, he achieved 87.1 points on Poseidon on Friday and 78.5 points on Hardy the following day, though he did not score in the championship round. These scores, however, were sufficient to secure the win.

With a total of 400 points, Jennings is now just 54 points behind the current leader, Nick Tetz. Joao Goncalves captured second place in the event with 86.10 points on Socks in a Box, earning him 78 points in the standings.
