Moov Opens New Tempe HQ, Creating 180 Jobs in Semiconductor Sector

Moov Expands Operations with New Headquarters in Tempe, Arizona

TEMPE, AZ (June 9, 2023) – Moov, known as the largest and fastest-growing marketplace for used semiconductor equipment, has inaugurated its new headquarters in Tempe, Arizona. Occupying the entire 16th floor of the modern office space at 100 Mill, the facility covers approximately 32,000 square feet. This expansion aims to accommodate an increase in Moov’s personnel, which doubled in 2022, and is projected to grow by an additional 50-75% in the Phoenix area this year. The new headquarters is set to create 180 new jobs.

To mark the grand opening, Moov’s leadership was joined by Governor Katie Hobbs, Tempe Mayor Corey Woods, Sandra Watson of the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA), representatives from the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC), community leaders, and company employees.

Governor Katie Hobbs remarked, The opening of Moov’s new headquarters here in Tempe is the culmination of years of hard work and collaboration. Moov joins a growing list of bold, cutting-edge companies who are strengthening Arizona’s economy and putting us ahead of the global competition.

Steven Zhou, CEO and Co-Founder of Moov, stated, Arizona continues to do an excellent job incentivizing chipmakers to invest in building and expanding locally. It is critically important that, once here, chipmakers have the infrastructure and partners they need to be successful. We see Moov as substantially contributing in this capacity by enabling manufacturers to reliably, securely, and efficiently procure current and mature semiconductor equipment as well as recoup value on surplus and idle tooling.

Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority, expressed her enthusiasm, We are excited to celebrate the launch of Moov’s new headquarters in Tempe. Moov has been an incredible partner working to advance the U.S. and Arizona’s semiconductor ecosystem. We’re grateful for Moov’s commitment to our state, enhancing our reputation as an epicenter for innovation.

Chris Camacho, President and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, commented, The grand opening of Moov’s new headquarters in Tempe marks another milestone for the thriving semiconductor ecosystem in Greater Phoenix. Moov plays a vital role in supporting the growth and success of local chipmakers and we are proud to partner with them in driving the continued expansion of this region’s semiconductor industry.

Tempe Mayor Corey Woods added, Tempe is known for innovation. Moov is truly a forward-thinking company and will be a welcome addition to our thriving technology community. We appreciate Moov’s investment in Tempe and the jobs the company will bring to our city.

Since relocating from California in 2021 and designating Tempe as its new headquarters in 2022, Moov has been at the forefront of the local semiconductor industry. As the largest global marketplace for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, Moov has facilitated the buying and selling of millions of dollars in pre-owned equipment for local manufacturers. The company’s platform supports an ecosystem of partners, including refurbishers, logistics providers, and insurers, by providing them access to global demand and industry insights.
