Thursday, April 9
City police received support from officers after a motor vehicle crash occurred at Centre Avenue and Allequippa Street. The driver left the scene before police could arrive.
Friday, April 10
An individual at the Cathedral of Learning reported a missing package that had been delivered. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
Retail theft was reported at Maggie and Stella’s. A stuffed animal was recovered on April 13, 2026, and returned to the store, leading to the closure of the case.
Saturday, April 11
Two citations for underage drinking were issued in Litchfield Towers. One was to a non-affiliated individual in Tower B and the other to a student in Tower A.
Sunday, April 12
Liquor law violations resulted in conduct referrals for students at Nordenberg Hall and Sutherland Hall, as reported by a campus security authority.
Monday, April 13
Pitt police collaborated with City and UPMC police to address a situation involving an individual threatening others with a crowbar at Terrace and Desoto Streets.
Reports were filed for criminal mischief at the Eureka Lot and harassment, with investigations pending for both cases. Additionally, a theft at the Petersen Events Center and a hit and run on Victoria Street are under investigation.
Tuesday, April 14
The campus security authority logged several incidents, including fondling at the Eatery and cyber stalking cases, although no police reports were filed by the complainants. A sexual assault at Sutherland Hall was also reported, but no complaint was lodged with the police. Additionally, a bicycle mirror theft was reported at Benedum Hall.
Wednesday, April 15
Pitt police issued a citation for defiant trespass to an individual unaffiliated with the university at Hillman Library. They also assisted City police in a theft investigation from a motor vehicle on the 200 block of Ophelia Street.
