Wisconsin State Emergency Operations Center Mobilizes Response Efforts After Severe Weather
Wisconsin has been hit by severe storms and flooding, leading to significant destruction across the state. In response, the Wisconsin State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) has ramped up its operations to manage the situation effectively.
The SEOC is actively working with county and tribal emergency managers to address the damages that include tornadoes demolishing homes and floods impacting infrastructure such as roads, culverts, and bridges.
Resource Requests and Coordination
To support the ongoing response efforts, the SEOC has received 28 requests for resources. These include personnel for sandbagging, assistance for damage assessments, and muck out kits for cleaning up flood-affected areas.
Operating at an elevated Level 2, the SEOC collaborates with various state and nongovernmental organizations, including:
- Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs
- Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources
- Wisconsin Department of Health Services
- Wisconsin Department of Transportation
- Salvation Army
- American Red Cross

Residents affected by the disaster are encouraged to follow updates from local authorities and utilize 2-1-1 Wisconsin to access services for cleanup assistance.
