In a celebration of dedication and longevity, Northern Arizona University (NAU) recently recognized the significant contributions of its faculty and staff. At the annual Years of Service ceremony held on March 4, a total of 142 individuals were honored for reaching key career milestones, collectively representing 2,990 years of service to the institution.
15 Years of Service
Among those honored for 15 years of service were Rebecca Allender, Alvin Altamirano, and Stephanie Bauer. The list also included Yael Bernstein, Wynette Birecki, and Cheryl Brothers, among others. These dedicated individuals have significantly contributed to NAU’s mission over the years.
20 Years of Service
Marking two decades at NAU, faculty and staff such as Sheila Anders, Ke Bao, and Wendy Bruun were acknowledged. Others in this group included Melissa Cohen, James Davis, and John Davis, highlighting the lasting commitment of these professionals.
25 Years of Service
Notably, Sanjam Ahluwalia, Shadow Armfield, and Erxuan Bao were recognized for their 25-year tenure. This group also featured Angie Begay, Jonathan Bergeron, and Melinda Bradford, showcasing their long-standing dedication to the university.
30 Years of Service
Some faculty and staff have devoted three decades to NAU, including Steven Barger, Joseph Collentine, and Brandon Cruickshank. Their enduring service is also shared by Jerold Gile, Denise Helm, and Jon Reyhner, amongst others.
35 Years of Service
Alexander Alvarez, Gerry Barela, and Eugene Begay were among those commended for 35 years of commitment. The group also included Cynthia Childrey, Marla Johnet, and James Swift, each playing a crucial role in NAU’s growth and success.
40 Years of Service
John Ellison was the sole honoree for a remarkable 40 years of service at NAU, reflecting a significant career of dedication and achievement.
45 Years of Service
Finally, Robert Hassell was celebrated for an extraordinary 45 years of service, marking nearly half a century of contributions to the university community.
