As global trade continues to evolve, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is taking a bold step forward by establishing a new office in Tempe, Arizona, poised to create 170 jobs by 2024. TEMPE, AZ (May 10, 2023) – MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company has announced its plans to open a new state-of-the-art office within the 777 Tower on Arizona State University’s campus. The office will occupy a 28,302-square-foot space on the 6th floor, and the company intends to leverage the local talent pool of the Phoenix metro area to fill the majority of the positions.

The 777 Tower, which encompasses 160,000 square feet, reflects MSC’s dedication to sustainability with its environmentally friendly resource usage and waste management practices. This move aligns with Arizona’s growing reputation as a logistics hub, as noted by Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority, who stated, “Mediterranean Shipping Company’s new office highlights Arizona’s attractiveness as a national logistics hub.”
Chris Camacho, President and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the significance of MSC’s decision as a reflection of the region’s stature in global trade. He remarked, “The announcement of MSC, the largest shipping company in the world, is a testament to Tempe’s workforce pipeline through ASU and the region’s presence in ecommerce and logistics.”
Tempe Mayor Corey Woods expressed his excitement about MSC’s expansion into the community, emphasizing the city’s readiness to support the company’s growth. MSC’s Tempe office will be its tenth in the United States, joining locations in Baltimore, Boston, Charleston, Chicago, Costa Mesa, Houston, Miami, New Orleans, and New York.
