Republic Services, Inc., a prominent name in the environmental services sector, is gearing up to relocate its headquarters to a newly constructed, 240,000 square-foot facility in CityNorth, Phoenix. Situated just minutes from their existing location, the new site will house around 1,000 employees.
Republic Services is one of Arizona’s most celebrated business success stories,
remarked Governor Katie Hobbs, highlighting the company’s long-standing leadership in sustainability and its positive impact on Arizona’s communities. She extended gratitude to the Republic Services team for their ongoing commitment to the state with this new headquarters.
With its roots dating back to a merger with Phoenix-based Allied Waste in 2008, Republic Services excels in the sustainable collection, recycling, and disposal of materials for millions of customers. The company employs over 40,000 people, with 2,100 based in Arizona, and anticipates creating an additional 600 jobs locally. Republic Services is collaborating with Crown Realty Group to acquire 7-10 acres in the CityNorth project, strategically located in the Desert Ridge community. This area is rapidly transforming into a vibrant urban district, connecting new and existing developments.

The Phoenix City Council has approved a development agreement with Republic Services and Crown Realty Group, supporting the installation of necessary infrastructure improvements at CityNorth, including pedestrian-friendly features and landscaping.
