Yield Engineering Systems Opens Advanced Technology Center in Chandler

YES Unveils New Semiconductor Facility in Chandler, Arizona

Yield Engineering Systems (YES), a prominent name in the semiconductor technology space, has officially opened a new 123,000-square-foot facility in Chandler, Arizona. Located at 3200 W. Germann Road in the Price Corridor employment center, this development marks a significant expansion for the company.

The newly established YES Advanced Technology Center (YATC) boasts 50,000 square feet dedicated to manufacturing, along with a 10,000-square-foot cleanroom that will eventually expand to 40,000 square feet. This cleanroom will facilitate collaboration with customers on innovative processes and prototype validation.

YES has been pioneering semiconductor equipment for over 40 years, providing cutting-edge technology across industries such as artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and life sciences. The company’s innovative hardware has contributed significantly to advancements in these fields.

Rama Alapati, CEO of Yield Engineering Systems, stated, “YATC not only provides our customers and partners with state-of-the-art equipment for novel process development, but it is also a center that will bring best-in-class manufacturing of complex products in collaboration with our supply chain partners with an innovative business model, that enables significant job creation in the United States.” He expressed gratitude for the partnership with local and federal entities in bringing the YATC to fruition.

According to Rezwan Lateef, President of Yield Engineering Systems, “Designed to the highest standards of safety and workplace efficiency, the YATC will play a central role in our R&D collaborations with our global customer base and will help them achieve their exciting technology roadmaps.” He emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting the domestic semiconductor industry and Arizona’s growing tech ecosystem.

Krishna Nety, a board member of YES and Senior Managing Director at KCK Group, highlighted the financial backing from KCK Group, stating, “YES’s continued growth and success is an excellent example of KCK’s commitment to American competitiveness, driven by industrial and emerging technologies.”

YES has invested $25 million into the facility, aiming to strengthen the U.S. semiconductor ecosystem. The YATC is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2023, creating approximately 100 jobs in the region.

Arizona Senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema praised the initiative, saying, “Yield Engineering System’s new YATC facility will strengthen Arizona’s leadership as a hub for semiconductor manufacturing.” She highlighted the importance of the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act in boosting economic competitiveness.

Representative Greg Stanton noted, “The East Valley is metro Phoenix’s hub for advanced manufacturing, and we didn’t develop that reputation by accident.” He attributed the region’s success to strategic planning and investments like the CHIPS Act, welcoming YES’s expansion in Chandler.

Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority, expressed excitement about the new facility, stating it is a valuable addition to Arizona’s semiconductor industry. Chris Camacho, President and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, added, “The inclusion of Yield Engineering Systems into our ecosystem presents another arm to our dynamic industry.”

Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke also commended the investment, saying, “We are thrilled to officially welcome another high-value semiconductor supplier with the addition of Yield Engineering Systems.” He noted the community’s competitive edge in attracting such projects.
