Joe Lombardo’s Campaign Controversies: Aligning with Wealthy Backers

Nevada Politics: Lombardo’s Campaign Choices Under Scrutiny

In the final days leading up to the election, Nevada’s political landscape is drawing attention as Joe Lombardo, a prominent political figure, aligns himself with controversial personalities. Recently, Lombardo has been seen campaigning alongside former Republican governor and private equity CEO Glenn Youngkin. Youngkin, who has faced criticism for his role in raising rent costs for seniors while amassing $300 million, is a figure whose policies could raise eyebrows among Nevada voters concerned with housing affordability.

Adding to the intrigue, Lombardo’s campaign also saw collaboration with Linda McMahon this week. McMahon is noted for her attempts to dismantle the Department of Education, which could potentially impact $1 billion in annual funding for Nevada’s public schools.

Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Kate Sosland commented on the situation:

“With just 12 days until Election Day, Joe Lombardo is spending his time campaigning with somebody who raised rent for seniors while pocketing hundreds of millions of dollars. Lombardo’s closing message couldn’t be clearer: billionaires first, Nevadans last.”
