As the University of Arizona gears up to commemorate a century of its iconic “Bear Down” tradition, Homecoming 2026 is set to be a week-long celebration of Wildcat pride. Scheduled from October 18-24, the festivities promise a blend of nostalgia and excitement, featuring events like the lighting of “A” Mountain and the much-anticipated football face-off against Iowa State.
Jonelle Vold, senior vice president and chief alumni officer at the University of Arizona Foundation, shared, “Homecoming reminds us that being a Wildcat is a lifelong relationship.” Alumni will have the chance to reconnect with old friends and demonstrate the global impact of their community.
The university will host over 50 events, ranging from collegiate gatherings to the Alumni Bonfire Pep Rally and Royalty Crowning. A highlight of the weekend will be the conclusion of the university’s $3 billion Fuel Wonder campaign, celebrated at the State of the University Luncheon with an address by President Suresh Garimella.
“Philanthropy has touched every corner of campus,” said Vold. The campaign’s success reflects the dedication of the Wildcat community, impacting student opportunities, research, and campus development, including projects like the Student Success District.
Visitors can check in at the Homecoming Reunion Welcome Lounge, located in the Swede Johnson building lobby from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between October 21-23.
Friday’s schedule includes the Alumni All-University Happy Hour on the Communication building lawn, starting at 6 p.m., providing a vibrant atmosphere with food and a prime view of the Bonfire and Royalty Crowning.
University employees are encouraged to don Wildcat colors during Spirit Week leading up to the Homecoming game. Spirit Week photos will be shared on Instagram @arizonaalumni for voting by alumni and friends.
