New License Plate Agency Set to Open in Moore County
ROCKY MOUNT – Residents of Moore County will soon have a new option for their vehicle registration needs with the reopening of a license plate agency (LPA) on July 10. The agency, previously closed since January 31 due to the expiration of the former operator’s contract, will resume operations to serve the community.
Daniel Frazier will take the helm as the new operator of the LPA, which remains at its former location at 141 S. Middleton St., Robbins. Open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, the agency will close on state holidays.
While the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV) supervises these agencies, their day-to-day management falls under the responsibility of private businesses or local government entities.
Moore County’s LPA will offer a range of services including vehicle registration, title transactions, license plate renewals, replacement tags, handicap placards, and duplicate registrations. Across the state, there are a total of 123 license plate agencies providing similar services to North Carolina residents.
For those who prefer online services, vehicle registration renewals and property tax payments can be conveniently processed at ncdmv.gov.
