The Village of Kingsley Receives Prestigious Redevelopment Ready Certification
LANSING, Mich. – The Village of Kingsley has achieved a notable milestone in its community development journey. Recognized by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), Kingsley has earned the Redevelopment Ready Communities (RRC) certification, a testament to its dedication to fostering private investment and enhancing municipal assets.
The certification places Kingsley among an elite list of 92 Michigan communities acknowledged for their exceptional planning and zoning capabilities. The RRC certification process involved a detailed evaluation of Kingsley’s current development practices against RRC’s best practice standards. Utilizing the RRC toolkit, Kingsley has integrated greater transparency, predictability, and efficiency into its local economic development strategies. This certification signifies the community’s dedication to removing development barriers and streamlining processes to attract investments.

With the certification, Kingsley gains access to new resources and ongoing support from the RRC team to achieve its community development objectives. Annual reviews and updates will ensure the village maintains its commitment to best practices, with the certification needing renewal every five years.
