As the 2026 general election approaches, Governor Josh Stein, accompanied by First Lady Anna Stein, marked the commencement of in-person early voting by casting their votes at the Chavis Community Center. This action underscores the importance of civic engagement in shaping the state’s future.
Governor Josh Stein emphasized, “The right to vote is the fundamental right that underpins all of our other rights.” He further urged, “Our government works best when everyone does their part, so I encourage all eligible North Carolinians to make their voices heard at the ballot box this fall.”
Starting today, Thursday, October 15, early voting is available for eligible voters and will continue through 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 31. The official Election Day is slated for Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
