Innovative Partnership Tackles Social Worker Shortage in North Carolina
In an effort to combat the pressing shortage of social workers in North Carolina, a new partnership has been announced, bringing together key stakeholders from the state’s health and educational sectors. This collaboration aims to address the urgent needs of communities across the state, particularly in underserved rural areas.
The Public Service Leadership Program is at the heart of this initiative, designed to inspire students from high schools, community colleges, and universities to pursue careers in social work. By equipping future social workers with essential skills and knowledge, the program seeks to better meet the diverse needs of children, individuals, and families in North Carolina.
