All-way stops to be installed at Duplin County intersections for safety

Safety Enhancements Set for Duplin County Intersections

CALYPSO – In an effort to enhance road safety, several intersections in Duplin County are slated for conversion into all-way stops next week.

Starting July 9, assuming favorable weather conditions, crews will begin installing stop signs and updating pavement markings at key intersections along Tram Road.

Motorists are advised to remain cautious as work crews and equipment will be present during these upgrades.

The decision to implement all-way stops follows a thorough evaluation conducted by the N.C. Department of Transportation. This assessment, which took into account traffic volumes and safety data, determined that the all-way stop configuration would be the most cost-effective strategy for improving safety.
