Families in Livingston County have a new opportunity to engage with their community through LivCo Connected, a public safety initiative focusing on improving interactions between first responders and individuals with specific needs. Organized by Great Start Livingston and Help Me Grow Livingston, this event aims to foster better communication and trust.

Who Should Attend?

This event welcomes families and caregivers of individuals with autism, disabilities, dementia, and other special needs. All ages are encouraged to participate.

Available Safety Resources

• MSP VIP fingerprinting and photograph to aid in identifying vulnerable individuals through a statewide system
• Identifying sticker for vehicles or residences as a visual cue
• 911 address flag enrollment to inform first responders about specific safety and communication needs
• STS enrollment for families to securely share crucial information such as triggers and medical needs
• Resources and caregiver support information

Activities for the Whole Family

Enjoy a sensory-friendly atmosphere with snacks, volunteer assistance, rest areas, emergency vehicles, sensory tools, bubbles, hula hoops, balls, a bounce house, and a visit from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office therapy dog.
