For Kenton, Black History Month is a period of introspection and festivity. It is an opportunity to honor the struggles and achievements of ancestors, celebrating the legacy of those who fought for freedom and equality. “We are living our ancestors’ wildest dreams,” he reflects, emphasizing the importance of continued progress.
Choosing Drake University
