University of Iowa Opens New Family Medicine Clinic in Tiffin

With the rapid growth of Tiffin, a new family medicine clinic has opened its doors to meet the increasing healthcare needs of the community. Situated at 391 N. Kimberlite Street, the University of Iowa Health Care’s latest facility officially began welcoming patients on September 29.

The opening ceremony was marked by a ribbon-cutting event attended by UI Health Care leaders, medical providers, staff, and local residents. “Tiffin is growing very rapidly, bringing more families and more opportunities, but also a greater need for primary care,” remarked Denise Jamieson, MD, MPH, who serves as the UI vice president for medical affairs and the Tyrone D. Artz Dean of the Carver College of Medicine. “Today’s celebration is about meeting that need and investing in this community’s future.”

The facility currently operates with a team of five providers and has been designed with the potential for expansion. It aims to support the healthcare demands of a growing population, with plans to accommodate approximately 7.5 providers and a patient capacity of around 10,000 once fully staffed.
