Campus bike roundup in May: Get your green tags to prevent collection

Upcoming Campus Event: Bicycle Collection in May

In an effort to manage campus resources efficiently, Capital Planning and Campus Operations will be conducting a collection of abandoned bicycles on campus this May. This initiative aims to free up space and ensure that unused bicycles do not clutter the campus environment.

To prevent their bicycles from being collected, students and staff are required to attach a green tag to their bikes. Bicycles with these tags will not be removed, and the tags should remain on the bikes until the end of May. Green tags can be obtained from several locations on campus, including the front desk at the University Union, Facility Services and Contracts, Purchasing and Risk Management, University Transit, Cline Library, the Health and Learning Center, and Property Surplus.

These tags will be available prior to the start of May, providing ample time for individuals to secure their bicycles.

Bicycles collected during this roundup will be held for a 30-day period as required before being made available for sale through Property Surplus. In the event that a bicycle is mistakenly collected, owners are advised to contact Property Surplus at (928) 523-4163 to arrange a convenient time for retrieval.

It is crucial for those who wish to retain their bicycles on campus to ensure the green tag is properly affixed to avoid unintended collection.

For additional details regarding the bicycle collection, individuals can reach out to Property Surplus via email at NAU-PropertySurplus@nau.edu or stay updated by visiting their Facebook Page at NAU Property Surplus.
