FrameTec’s $150 Million Facility to Bolster Casa Grande Economy
In a significant development for Arizona’s construction industry, FrameTec has unveiled plans to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Casa Grande, representing a substantial $150 million investment. This facility is set to generate over 400 new jobs, marking a pivotal step in addressing regional housing shortages.
CASA GRANDE, AZ (March 13, 2024) – The facility, located at the intersection of Thornton Road and Ash Avenue, will span 30 acres and include two separate plant buildings. Construction for the first phase is scheduled to begin in Summer 2024, with operations anticipated to commence in 2026, followed by the second plant in 2027.
FrameTec’s new plant will double the company’s manufacturing capacity compared to its existing Camp Verde facility, occupying a total of 254,000 square feet. The facility is designed to manufacture wooden roof and floor trusses, as well as wall panels, supporting the construction of 6,000 to 7,000 tract homes annually.
Utilizing advanced automation and a patented material handling system, FrameTec is equipped to produce framing components for 25 average-sized homes each day. This process not only reduces lumber waste significantly but also allows construction to be completed efficiently, with homes built in as little as two days.
From its inception, it has been FrameTec’s mission to provide big solutions to big problems in the building industry,
stated Kyle Brock, CEO of FrameTec. He emphasized the company’s role in alleviating housing shortages in Arizona and across the United States by offering innovative and comprehensive solutions for homebuilders and contractors.
FrameTec’s decision to expand in Casa Grande aligns with its strategic growth plans, following the opening of its U.S. Headquarters in Camp Verde. The company also has aspirations to broaden its footprint across the United States in future years.
Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority, noted, FrameTec’s expansion highlights the rapid manufacturing growth happening in Pinal County and across the state. The innovative Casa Grande facility will support housing construction in the state, enhance Arizona’s manufacturing industry, and create hundreds of skilled jobs.
Casa Grande Mayor Craig McFarland expressed enthusiasm for FrameTec’s arrival, recognizing the company’s potential to contribute significantly to local residential, retail, and commercial development. The City of Casa Grande is excited to be welcoming FrameTec to our community,
he remarked.
With its cutting-edge technology and efficient processes, FrameTec is poised to revolutionize the building components industry. The company’s unique capabilities position it as a frontrunner in the construction sector, offering a one-stop solution for framing needs.
