Maricopa County Students Win Stormwater Pollution Poster Contest

Elementary students across Maricopa County took a creative stand against water pollution through art. Over 500 students from 22 schools participated in a poster contest with the theme “Clean Stormwater for AZ Wildlife,” highlighting the critical issue of stormwater runoff, a major source of water pollution in the U.S. Their artwork was judged on creativity, originality, and effectiveness of the message. Supported by several local organizations, the contest awarded prizes to the top entries in two categories: 3rd/4th grade and 5th/6th grade.
