Tonopah Field Office Seeks Public Comment on Stone Cabin HMAP & EA

TONOPAH, Nev. – In an effort to manage the wild horse populations within the Stone Cabin Complex, the Tonopah Field Office has drafted a comprehensive Herd Management Area Plan (HMAP) and Gather Plan Environmental Assessment (EA). This plan covers the Stone Cabin, Saulsbury, and Little Fish Lake Herd Management Areas (HMAs). Public input is being solicited during a 30-day comment period starting May 15, 2026, and concluding at 11:59 PM PDT on June 15, 2026.

The HMAP and Gather Plan are now open for public scrutiny. Interested parties can access the documents on the BLM National NEPA Register. Comments can be submitted via the “Participate Now” link on the project webpage.
