Registration Now Open for Flint ReCAST’s 2026 S.T.R.O.N.G. Summit
Flint ReCAST (Resiliency in Communities After Stress and Trauma) is inviting participants to register for its upcoming 2026 S.T.R.O.N.G. Summit series. The initiative kicks off with two sessions on May 20 and May 27, each scheduled from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Sloan Museum of Discovery. The series will conclude with a Family Fun Day on June 3, held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Flint Farmers Market.
Space for the summit is limited, and participants must register in advance. Each workshop includes a dinner, and childcare services will be available during the Parent & Caregiver session. Interested individuals can register by following this link: S.T.R.O.N.G. Summit 2026.
Focus on Building Resilience and Understanding
The acronym S.T.R.O.N.G. stands for Supporting Togetherness, Resiliency, Opportunity, Networking, and Growth. This year’s summit aims to foster a collective understanding, enhance trust, and develop practical skills for youths and their supporting adults. Through workshops, attendees will delve into mental wellness, focusing on improving communication, reducing stigma, and creating supportive environments for young people.
The series wraps up with a Family Fun Day designed to celebrate the participation of youth, adults, and families. This event will offer engaging activities such as a petting zoo, pony rides, carnival games, food trucks, and free family photos.

Flint ReCAST is a five-year initiative aimed at supporting high-risk youth and families by fostering recovery and rebuilding community resilience and equity in Flint. The program emphasizes behavioral health, race and equity, youth development, public safety, and violence prevention.
