Upcoming Traffic Disruptions for N.C. 105 Bridge Project
BANNER ELK – Motorists traveling around the Banner Elk area should prepare for potential travel delays as significant blasting operations are scheduled. This activity is part of the ongoing N.C. 105 bridge project.
Blasting operations are set to occur from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, starting July 22 and continuing through July 25. During these hours, the Wright Brothers Construction Company Inc. will manage the blasting with traffic stoppages, which are anticipated to last no longer than 30 minutes per instance, assuming favorable weather conditions.
In addition to these specific stoppages, drivers should also be prepared for minor delays due to construction activities. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, flagging operations will be in place to manage the flow of equipment and haul trucks throughout the project site.
Travelers are advised to exercise caution when navigating near the construction zone and to consult DriveNC.gov for the latest traffic updates and conditions.
