Explore Campus Innovations with Discover Your University
Uncover the hidden gems of the University of Iowa through the Discover Your University program, designed for faculty and staff. This initiative offers a unique chance to explore groundbreaking projects and facilities across the campus during regular working hours.
Launched in the fall of 2022, Discover Your University facilitates sponsored visits, allowing participants to engage with diverse programs, such as the Driving Safety Research Institute and the renowned University Libraries. Participants can immerse themselves in the rich array of activities at locations like Recreational Services, Hancher, and Pentacrest Museums, broadening their understanding and appreciation of the university’s endeavors.
Open Invitation for Faculty and Staff
All faculty and staff members at Iowa are encouraged to participate in Discover Your University. Whether individually or as part of a team, they can attend up to two visits each year, either on the same day or on separate days. These visits align with Iowa’s Educational Opportunities policy, which promotes engagement in educational and developmental activities. Moreover, the Volunteer Time Release policy supports participation in community-enhancing endeavors.
