A Vibrant Celebration of Generosity: Delco Gives Returns
Delaware County is gearing up for the third annual Delco Gives, a celebration of community spirit and generosity, slated for May 6 and 7. The event, organized by The Foundation for Delaware County, will bring together over 250 nonprofits in a unified effort to bolster the organizations that fortify the county’s social fabric.
Last year’s Delco Gives saw more than 11,000 donors contribute nearly $2.3 million to 306 nonprofits. This year’s event promises to be just as impactful, culminating in a family-friendly gathering at the WSFS Bank Sportsplex on May 7, from 5 to 8:30 p.m., open to the entire community.
Celebrating Community Spirit
The final event will feature a mix of activities, including games, face painting, and live music by Go Go Gadget. Attendees can also enjoy food trucks and beverages as they await the announcement of the final fundraising total at 7:30 p.m., with Fox29’s Jason Martinez as the emcee.
Michael Kellerman, president of the foundation, emphasized the event’s communal focus: “Delco Gives is about our community coming together and going All In for Delco. Every donation supports the nonprofits working every day to care for families, expand opportunity, and strengthen Delaware County.”

Enhancing Community Impact
Delco Gives operates through an online giving platform, encouraging donations to a variety of nonprofits. These organizations span interests from arts and education to environmental and veteran support.
Every donation, however modest, contributes to the cause. In 2025, the median donation was just $30, yet each contribution is eligible for bonus funding from the foundation and local sponsors, making every dollar count even more.
Bonus incentives are structured to reward the number of supporters rather than the size of the donation, fostering widespread community engagement. Additional cash prizes will be distributed during the event, sponsored by local businesses.
Business and Community Partnership
Local businesses play a pivotal role in the success of Delco Gives, with Power Home Remodeling leading as the presenting sponsor. The event will kick off with a flag football tournament at the WSFS Bank Sportsplex, thanks to their support.
Other notable sponsors include Aqua, Bank of America, and Comcast NBCUniversal, among others. These partnerships help amplify the impact of every donation.
