UI Health Care Nurse Balances Career and Olympic Dreams
When Beaudry joined the pediatric nursing team at UI Health Care in July 2025, she was already gearing up to participate in the Tokyo Olympics. Thanks to the unwavering support of her managers and colleagues, she was able to pursue her athletic ambitions without compromising her professional responsibilities.
Beaudry expressed immense gratitude for her managers, noting, “My managers were very willing to work with my schedule. They were amazing; I was able to work a lot of extra time and pick up extra shifts to make up for the time I’d be gone.” This flexibility allowed her to focus on her training and competition.
The camaraderie and encouragement from her nursing team have been pivotal for Beaudry. “I couldn’t have asked for anything better than what I have here,” she says. “They were all super excited when I won, they have been super supportive through it all.”
