Arizona’s Small Business Boot Camp Celebrates Fourth Anniversary

Entrepreneurs across Arizona have found a valuable ally in the Small Business Boot Camp, a program that has reached over 17,400 participants since its inception in 2020.

PHOENIX, AZ (April 29, 2024) –

The Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) marked the milestone of the fourth anniversary of its Small Business Boot Camp. This award-winning initiative offers free weekly educational webinars aimed at supporting small business leaders and entrepreneurs by connecting them with local experts.

Originally launched on April 27, 2020, with a vision to support businesses during the pandemic, the Boot Camp has transitioned into a long-term resource for Arizona’s small business community.

The program has successfully conducted 350 sessions featuring insights from more than 235 experts. According to the ACA, these sessions have been crucial in assisting over 17,400 entrepreneurs from all 15 counties of Arizona. Additionally, the program’s video content has accumulated over 8,830 views.

We’re excited to celebrate another successful year of the Small Business Boot Camp, one of many ACA programs to support entrepreneurs and small business owners statewide, expressed Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. Small businesses are foundational to Arizona’s economy; when Arizona small businesses succeed, Arizona’s economy succeeds. We are grateful to all of our partners and presenters for their continued support.

Throughout its four years, the Boot Camp has established itself as a significant asset to the state’s small business sector. It draws expertise from distinguished companies, educational institutions, nonprofits, and small business owners.

The anniversary coincides with National Small Business Week, a time dedicated to recognizing the impact of entrepreneurs and small businesses across the nation.

The ACA is committed to fostering the growth of Arizona’s small businesses through various programs like the Small Business Boot Camp and Small Business Academy. Additional resources include Arizona Business One Stop and the Arizona Small Business Development Center Network.

The ACA also manages the Arizona SSBCI (State Small Business Credit Initiative), a federal initiative that aims to bolster state programs supporting financing for businesses facing social and economic challenges.
