NAU Fall 2025 Commencement: Over 2,600 Students Set to Graduate

Anticipation is building at Northern Arizona University as over 2,600 students gear up to receive their diplomas at the Fall 2025 commencement. Scheduled for December 12, the event is expected to be a grand affair with two separate ceremonies.

The celebrations will be hosted at the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome (Bldg. 73), which will welcome guests starting 90 minutes before each ceremony. Attendees must adhere to the clear bag policy, so it’s advisable for everyone to review the guidelines in advance. For those who can’t attend in person, morning and afternoon ceremonies will be live-streamed via NAU-TV.

Professor Alexander Alvarez, co-chair of the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice and the 2025 Homecoming dedicatee, will address attendees at both ceremonies. Graduates receiving bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees will be honored at the following times:

  • If possible, avoid driving on campus on Friday. Consider alternative routes instead.
  • Those who must drive should allow extra time and be aware that direct routes may not be available.

Parking is accessible at various campus locations, with shuttle services running from the South Commuter parking lot (P62) and the San Francisco parking garage (P96). For those requiring accessible parking, spaces are available in the Skydome parking lot P66 via Lone Tree Road. A map is available online.
