In an unprecedented move, Arizona Athletics has teamed up with Carvana to launch a significant partnership, marking a milestone as Carvana becomes the exclusive auto partner and official jersey patch partner for both Wildcats men’s and women’s basketball teams. This collaboration, facilitated by Arizona Sports Enterprises, extends beyond sports, highlighting Carvana’s commitment to forging deeper connections with the University of Arizona.
“We are pleased to announce this transformative partnership between Arizona Athletics and Carvana,” stated Desireé Reed-Francois, R. Ken Coit Director of Athletics. “Carvana has deep Arizona roots and shares our commitment to innovation, competitive excellence, and community engagement. The depth of this partnership showcases the power of the Wildcats brand and creates impactful opportunities for our men’s and women’s basketball student-athletes. We appreciate everyone who worked together to bring this to life.”
Carvana will prominently feature at key Wildcats men’s basketball events, taking on the role of presenting sponsor for the Red-Blue Showcase and its accompanying post-event concert. Their involvement will also extend to alumni programming and reunions, enriching the basketball community.
The partnership boasts extensive integration within Arizona’s basketball programs. Carvana’s branding will be visible at McKale Center at ALKEME Arena, supported by digital, social media, radio, and ESPN+ engagements. This collaboration will include game sponsorships, fan-focused activities, and hospitality perks. A social media series and various storytelling content will further highlight this partnership throughout the season.
“Arizona Athletics is one of the premier athletic programs in the country, and we’re excited to be the first jersey patch partner for men’s and women’s basketball in school history. We’re proud to align with an organization that shares our ambition and commitment to excellence,” commented Ryan Keeton, Carvana Co-Founder and Chief Brand Officer. “As an Arizona company, this partnership gives us the opportunity to support the student-athletes who wear the jersey every day and to connect with Wildcats fans in new and authentic ways.”
Highlighting their commitment to enhancing fan experiences, Carvana will offer exclusive sweepstakes and unique experiences around Wildcats basketball events. Moreover, they will engage directly with select basketball student-athletes through name, image, and likeness initiatives, offering bespoke content and promotional opportunities.
“Arizona men’s basketball is a premium brand built on our people, our tradition and the standard we strive to uphold every day,” expressed men’s basketball head coach Tommy Lloyd. “Carvana shares that commitment to people and excellence, and we are grateful for their meaningful investment in our program. We’re excited to welcome them to our family and to serve the best fans in the country together.”
“We’re incredibly grateful to Carvana for its investment in Arizona women’s basketball and our student-athletes,” said women’s basketball head coach Becky Burke. “This partnership creates meaningful opportunities for our players, our program and our fans, and we’re excited to have a partner that believes in what we’re building here in Tucson.”
Beyond the arena, Carvana aims to engage with the broader University of Arizona community, offering opportunities for students, families, employees, and alumni through campus events and career development initiatives. Additionally, through Carvana Cares, its community outreach program, Carvana will collaborate with the basketball teams on various local initiatives.
