The University of Arizona continues to secure its place among the top educational institutions in the United States, according to The Princeton Review’s latest rankings. This recognition highlights the university’s commitment to safety, sustainability, and student life.
In the recently released “The Best 392 Colleges: 2027 Edition,” the University of Arizona received top marks for fire safety with a perfect score of 99, earning it a spot on the exclusive Fire Safety Honor Roll. This distinction is shared by only 62 other institutions nationwide.
The university also demonstrated strong performances in sustainability, with a score of 94, and quality of life, scoring 84. These assessments are part of a broader rating system that evaluates schools on a scale from 60 to 99, with 99 being the highest possible achievement.
Beyond safety and sustainability, the University of Arizona received commendable ratings in several key areas, including professor accessibility (88), financial aid (86), admissions (84), and academics (77).
The Princeton Review also ranks schools in specific categories related to campus life and academics. The University of Arizona excelled in several areas, ranking No. 6 in Everyone Plays Intramural Sports, No. 12 in Best Health Services for the 13th consecutive year, and No. 30 in entrepreneurship (also securing the No. 5 spot in the Southwest).
Selection for The Princeton Review’s Best Colleges list is based on comprehensive data gathered from college administrators about their academic offerings, with only about 15% of the nation’s four-year colleges achieving this recognition. The specific scores are derived from surveys of 172,000 students across the 392 included institutions.
Previously, the University of Arizona has been recognized by The Princeton Review in rankings such as Best Value Colleges, Green Colleges, and Best Southwestern Colleges. It also holds a No. 18 spot in the Top 20 Best Schools for Financial Aid among public universities.
Students participating in The Princeton Review’s survey praised the University of Arizona for its “amazing weather and a beautiful campus,” noting it as “full of life and fun.” They highlighted the school’s focus on “communicating with its students and keeping up to date with student life” along with its “supportive and large alumni network.”
Survey feedback also emphasized that “classrooms are often set up in a manner in which group discussion is encouraged,” with professors fostering an “active learning environment.”
