Beginning at 8 p.m. tomorrow, southbound lanes will be redirected offsite as crews initiate preparations for the traffic shift. The detour is scheduled to remain effective until 6 a.m. on Wednesday.

During the detour period, motorists can expect the following route:

Exit U.S. 29/70 South at Evans Road and continue on Old Greensboro Road.

Pass through the roundabout at Davidson-Davie Community College.

Merge onto Caldcleugh Road.

At the end of Caldcleugh Road, turn right to rejoin U.S. 29/70 South.
