Flint Hosts Teen Resource Fair for Youth Empowerment and Growth

Young people in Flint have an opportunity to gear up for their future at the upcoming Teen Resource Fair. Scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 2026, this event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the McKinley Center, located at 249 Peer Ave., Flint, MI 48503.

The fair aims to equip teens and families with vital resources, ranging from educational and health information to financial tools and personal development opportunities. It’s a chance for the youth to connect with services that can help them thrive in the next stages of life.

A variety of agencies and community partners will be present, offering free resources and services. Attendees can expect to find:

• Michigan Secretary of State issuing State IDs
• Genesee County Records issuing birth certificates
• Financial Plus Credit Union opening bank accounts
• Office of Public Health providing health and wellness resources
• Additional vendors offering education, employment, mentorship, and community support services

While the event is open to all ages, it specifically targets teens and young adults preparing for adulthood, employment, higher education, and independence.

Mayor Sheldon A. Neeley emphasized the importance of the event, stating, “Young people deserve access to the tools and resources that help them build a successful future. This resource fair is about empowering youth, removing barriers, and connecting families with opportunities that can positively impact their lives.”

The City encourages students, parents, guardians, and community members to participate and take full advantage of the invaluable resources provided at this one-day gathering.
