The Charles L. Durham Library will host an event dedicated to harm reduction, focusing on equipping individuals with tools to combat the risks associated with drug use. From 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., CAMP (Community Alliance for Managing Pain) will distribute harm reduction kits. These kits are vital in providing a safety net for individuals at risk of overdose.

The harm reduction kits will include Narcan, a life-saving medication used to reverse opioid overdoses. Additionally, the kits will contain test strips designed to detect the presence of harmful substances, thereby helping to prevent overdoses from occurring initially.
