The tragic event dates back to September 19, 2017, when Thompson was brought to Moses Cone Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries, prompting an investigation into her death as a murder. Authorities have pinpointed the location of the shooting to a residence situated in the 600 block of East Gate City Boulevard in Greensboro.
