According to the North Carolina Department of Revenue, Uddin faces six counts of Embezzlement of State Property, eight counts of misdemeanor Willful Failure to File North Carolina Corporation Income Tax Returns, and five counts of misdemeanor Willful Failure to File North Carolina Individual Income Tax Returns. The arrest took place on Monday, May 11, 2026.
Allegations of Embezzlement and Tax Evasion

Additionally, as a North Carolina resident, Uddin was required to file individual income tax returns for the years 2018 through 2022.

Following his arrest, Uddin appeared before a Wake County magistrate and was assigned a bond of $200,000. His first court appearance is scheduled for May 18, 2026, at the Wake County Superior Court in Raleigh.
The investigation, which led to these charges, was conducted by special agents from the Department’s Criminal Investigation Division in Raleigh.
