NCDOT to Enhance Safety at Three Duplin County Intersections

Duplin County to See Intersection Safety Enhancements by NCDOT

GRENEVERS – In an effort to enhance road safety, the N.C. Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has announced plans to upgrade three key intersections in Duplin County. These changes aim to address traffic management and reduce accidents.

Weather conditions permitting, new stop signs and pavement markings will be installed at these locations:

  • N.C. 11 at Charity Road, scheduled for July 23

  • N.C. 11 at Register Road/Stocking Head Road, also scheduled for July 23

  • Charity Road at Bay Road, planned for July 31

Following a comprehensive safety review, which assessed traffic flow and accident rates, NCDOT concluded that implementing an all-way stop would be the most economical method to enhance safety at these intersections. For more details on all-way stops, visit this webpage.
