Register Now for Sierra Tots Spring Session: Fun for Ages 2-4

Spring Session Registration Opens for Sierra Tots Program

Parents and guardians seeking enriching activities for their young children can now register for the spring session of the Sierra Tots Program. This five-week initiative, targeting children aged 2 to 4, focuses on developing motor skills, encouraging guided play, and fostering social interactions.

An open house event is scheduled for Monday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center. During this event, families can meet the program’s teacher, Anna Sisson, tour the classroom environment, and have their questions answered.

The program’s spring session will commence on March 9 and conclude on April 9, 2026, with classes held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. Participation requires a parent or guardian to accompany the child throughout the session.

Enrollment in the program means committing to a single weekday for the entire five-week duration. For instance, selecting a Monday session results in attendance each Monday for the program’s length. Each child can be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or up to two caregivers.

The cost for the complete five-week program is set at $120. Discounts through RecConnect are available for those with existing memberships. Additionally, sliding scale discounts are offered based on household income and for families with multiple children.

Families interested in sliding scale discounts must visit the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center with a current pay stub or the previous year’s tax return to apply for these savings. Further details can be obtained by calling 775-334-2262 or visiting the City’s Scholarship-Fee Assistance page.

Registration for the Sierra Tots spring session can be completed through the Parks & Recreation registration page or by signing up in person at the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center.
