Land Sale Near Ely: BLM Approves New Parcels for Economic Development

ELY, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has given the green light for the sale of two parcels of land, covering a total of 1,055 acres near Ely. This sale is part of the ongoing efforts under the White Pine County Conservation, Recreation, and Development Act of 2006. Additionally, the BLM has approved the construction of two access roads to facilitate the sale.

The 2006 Act allows for the sale of up to 45,000 acres of public land to boost economic growth. The proceeds from these sales are distributed with 5% allocated to the state education fund, 10% to support county services such as law enforcement and fire protection, and the remaining 85% dedicated to land management activities within the county.
