BLM Announces Decision on Guardian Metal Resources Exploration Project

In a significant move for mineral exploration, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has unveiled its decision regarding the Guardian Metal Resources Exploration Project in Nevada. This project seeks to evaluate the potential for mineral development across a vast 2,536-acre region, focusing specifically on a 110-acre tract.

The exploration activities planned for the site are comprehensive, including the construction of drill pads and roads, which will facilitate overland travel. Maintenance of access roads will be a priority, addressing snow removal, smoothing ruts, and filling holes with fill material. Additionally, the project will include road improvements, such as culvert installations and road widening efforts.

Drilling activities will encompass various methods such as core, sonic, auger, or reverse circulation techniques. The installation of monitoring wells, piezometers, and production wells is slated to support water supply needs, alongside the installation of necessary water piping. The exploration will further involve geochemical and geotechnical data collection through trenching, test-pitting, and borehole drilling. Laydown yards will be developed, and all surface disturbances will be reclaimed following the completion of exploration and baseline activities.
