Join Detroit’s 4th Annual Block Party for Family Fun and Health Services

Detroit is set to host a vibrant community gathering that promises both entertainment and essential health services. The 4th Annual Block Party, organized by the Detroit Health Department, will be a free event featuring an array of family-friendly activities, including health screenings, live music, and much more. This initiative aims to foster a sense of community while providing vital resources to enrich the lives of Detroit residents.

Event Highlights

The festivities will commence on September 6 at 11 a.m. with the Safe Sleep Walk-n-Rally, an event spearheaded by the Maternal Child Health team. This Walk-n-Rally is an important effort to promote safe sleep practices for infants and young children, underscoring the city’s dedication to child health and safety.

Schedule and Location

  • 11 a.m.: Safe Sleep Walk-N-Rally
  • 12 to 4 p.m.: Block Party open to the public
  • 1 p.m.: Official Welcome Remarks by Chief Public Health Officer, Denise Fair Razo

The event will take place at the Detroit Health Department, located at 100 Mack Avenue, between John R and Erskine.
