Residents of Flint are encouraged to come together on Monday, August 31, 2026, for an event aimed at fostering community support and awareness about overdose issues. Scheduled from 4–7 pm, the event will take place on the lawn directly behind Flint City Hall, located at 1101 S. Saginaw St.
The event, titled Overdose Awareness Day: Celebrate Life!, serves as a platform to honor those lost to overdoses, recognize the achievements of individuals in recovery, and offer support to affected families. It also aims to connect residents with essential resources that can make a significant impact on community health.
This year, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from national recovery speaker Tony Hoffman, who will discuss themes of recovery, resilience, and hope.
