UVA Education School Ranks No. 6 Nationally, No. 3 Among Public Schools

The University of Virginia’s School of Education and Human Development has once again proven its excellence by securing a top position in the U.S. News & World Report rankings. This marks the third year in a row it has maintained a place in the top 10, highlighting its consistent performance and quality in education.

Ranked at No. 6, the School of Education and Human Development shares this prestigious position with renowned institutions such as Harvard University, New York University, and Teachers College – Columbia University. Notably, among public universities, it has climbed to No. 3, improving from last year’s ranking and solidifying its status as the premier graduate education school in Virginia.

The school’s programs are also recognized for their excellence, with the special education program ranking No. 6 and both the educational policy and elementary teacher education programs positioned at No. 8.

Additionally, the University of Virginia’s School of Nursing received high accolades for its Master of Science in Nursing program, ranking as the No. 9 public program nationwide and taking the top spot within the state.

These rankings by U.S. News & World Report are determined by various criteria, including peer assessments, research funding, faculty resources, program selectivity, and graduation rates. Such consistent high rankings reflect the university’s commitment to maintaining high standards and providing quality education.
